I Hate Wedgies

Hello everyone. Hope you're all enjoying yourselves on this fine Saturday. I decided to post in the afternoon because I had cycling this morning. Do any of you guys take it at the gym? Because if you do, I have one question for you. How many seconds/minutes after you start peddling does your wedgie appear? haha It's usually about 5 minutes for me, but today, I'd estimate it around 7.7 seconds!!! The whole class was an excruciating experience!!! I had a layer of spandex on under my sweats, so that might have been what caused it. I have no clue. I try to wear spandex all the time because there's a lot of perverts at the gym. One time, these guys told me they were getting a "free show" of my ass even though I was wearing spandex. What idiots! haha At least I saw Tubby after class. It was pouring outside, and I felt bad that my baby had to spend the day in the rain. Oh Tubs, what are we gonna do with you?

As for food, I have been eating random stuff lately, which isn't really different than my usual eating habits haha. Ezekial sprouted english muffins are my new obsession as well as Organic Concord grape juice. I can't get enough of those two. The next two recipes are hardly recipes at all, but they taste so good that I figured I'd post them just because I can. haha

Here's the "recipes"

Poor Woman's Garlic Bread

1 ezekial sprouted grain english muffin, cut in half
2 tsp earth balance buttery spread
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp nutritional yeast

Directions: Put english muffin in toaster. Wait til it's done. Spread butter on each side. Top with garlic powder and then nutritional yeast. I can't tell you how many times I've eaten this over the past week. I'm addicted!

Grape Slushy

1/2-3/4 cup concord grape juice
1 cup black seedless grapes

Directions: Pour grape juice into 8x8 pan. Add grapes into pan. Cover will foil and freeze for a few hours. When ready to eat, scrape the mixture with a fork to create a slushy type dessert. I had this as my pre-cycling breakfast. It did not sustain me at all, and I was starving through the class!!! haha But it does taste good.

lol, I never get a wedgie on the bike, but American spandex isn't very comfortable lol.
And yummy because random eats are the best!

Oh my gosh! You literally made me laugh out loud with the wedgie talk. I was at the gym once with one of our trainers and she had me to these leg exercises that gave everyone a nice crotch shot...I wore capris the next time I had to go!

Love the garlic bread :)

Just wanted to say hey, and thanks for visiting my blog!
I love garlic bread!
Instead of earth balance, I like to use AVOCADO! Seriously try it. It is addicting. I'll have to try it with some nooch too, never thought to mix nooch with my garlic goodness, but sounds delish!

A "churrasco" is the Brazilian word for babecue. |Except, not just hamburgers and hot dogs - that is a snack to them, not a barbecue!!! We're talking ENORMOUS slabs of meat and meat meat meat being cooked all day long. That's what people do for entertainment here. It can be challenging, but it's cool because I get to talk about veganism:D

I love the two recipes - my kids would really dig them both.

Love these quick and easy eats - there are plenty of times when that is all you want. Can't get over pervs at the gym - they should just mind their own business.

haa, I just realized something, Have I been commenting half the comments on the wrong blog or are you the only Joanna commenting on my blog? lol
A missionary is someone who spreads the gospeal to other people. In our case, we are international missionaries. My parents have lived in Brazil for 22 years, i was born in São Paulo. I have double citizenship. Every four years that I spend in Brazil I spend one year in the states ( Although, recently I have been spending more time there). I don't consider myself American or Brazilian because I am inbetween the two worlds, kind of like a fish out of wtaer, haha. I have an American mind ,but a Brazilian body and alot of times soul. I'm like half and half, everyone sees it but noooo one knows what it is! haha

You crack me up. I usually don't have a problem with wedgies, but spandex also doesn't sound so comfortable to me so I wear something else. :-) Your slushie looks delicious and if you wanted to make it seem "gourmet" I believe it also qualifies as granita. :-)

Sorry about the unfortunate biking experience, but that English muffin sure does sound good!

Re: your comment on my blog, no, spelt is not gluten free. It has about 30% less gluten than wheat (which is why I can eat it), but if you're off gluten entirely, it wouldn't be the best choice.

I feel your pain with those bikes. I have a spinning bike and I swear that seat was designed as a torture device.

I can't believe those losers said that to you at the gym. Wow, what ever happened to being respectful of other people?

You've convinced me to try the Ezekiel sprouted muffins! I've been tempted to try those, but haven't yet taken the plunge.

eric, the bikes at our gym our miserable!!! they are constantly breaking- pedals falling off, tension knobs breaking during class. haha i want to throw all of them in the garbage outside of bally's and set them on fire!!!

I'm an ellyptical machine type myself, I have one at home. I like bicycling, but not the stationary kind. So no wedgies for me :)

Ezekial brand muffins are really awesome. I love the cinnamon raisin kind. They also have really good cereal too.
